Albina has shown us that responsibility lies with each and every one of us; it's up to us to make our own choices. "At FXB, the answer to the growing number of destitute children lies in comprehensive action with families and communities. For this reason, FXB works to reintegrate orphans into stable households and to rebuild the social fabric of families and communities as a whole, so that the work of social workers with these children - and all vulnerable children trapped in poverty - can be effective in the long term. If I quote Albina du Boisrouvray, it's because I believe that the philosophy of her struggle is the right one, and that we have all been inspired by it for a long time." Extract from the speech by Daniel Rondeau, French Ambassador to Malta. International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, Valletta Conference, October 17, 2008.
"Albina was one of the most inspiring people I have ever known. She has dedicated herself to social causes, distinguishing herself as a leading social entrepreneur. "In my opinion, one of the organizations that does fantastic work and deserves more recognition is FXB." "I think one of the important things about FXB's approach is that it focuses on empowering families, and through that, their propensity to raise their children. And by doing this, when the children grow up, they will be able to live a dignified life. As well as providing families with the tools they need to develop their capacities to escape poverty, Sen emphasizes that FXB also encourages its beneficiaries to become role models for others in their communities: "One of the interesting things about FXB's approach is building people's capacities on the basis of past experience. So, if you're helped by FXB and you overcome deprivation, then not only do you overcome deprivation, but you also acquire something, some knowledge about how to get by. Only then will you be in a position to help others." Amartya Sen, Indian economist and philosopher, Nobel Prize in Economics 1998, Professor at Harvard, 2010.

"The strength of this program is that it is totally integrated into the local culture (...) Such an experience (VillageFXB) should be applicable in Afghanistan. We urgently need to move away from conventional models and invent a more effective form of development aid." Patricia Lalonde, Member of the European Parliament, excerpt from her book "Abdullah, Abdullah, l'Afghan qui dit non aux Talibans", 2011
"I am pleased to add my voice to those of Armartya Sen and others ... At BRAC, we greatly appreciate FXB's long-standing commitment to helping the poorest." Sir Fazle Hasab Abed, BRAC Founder, 2015
"VillageFXBs are a model that many should emulate to promote the sustainable development of the poor, children and families." Lincoln Chen, President, BRAC USA, 2015
"At 7pm, a ceremony at the Quai d'Orsay where Albina du Boisrouvray was made an Officer of the Legion of Honor by Jean-Marc Ayrault. I love proper nouns when they come together in a bouquet to embrace the panorama of a life. Albina's life, in all its drama and light, is like the kaleidoscopic compression of a society that comprises many. There was the golden youth, the lyrical illusion of the belle gauche, film production, and then the tragic death of her son, who, she says, Albina would have liked to live the rest of her life up to. Under the acronym FXB, like François-Xavier Bagnoud, she will have globalized her resolution, fomented hope in the midst of the worst misery, single-handedly a missionary order and a UNICEF of micro-growth." Marc Lambron, in his book "L'année du Coq de Feu, Edition Grasset, 2022
