Data Protection policy

Who are we ?

Our website address is: fxb.org

Personal Data

When you contact FXB to order an item from our online shop, request information, subscribe to our newsletter, support a specific action or donate, you are providing FXB with personal data. We use this data solely to keep you posted on the various topics we deal with and about upcoming actions and projects. Personal data such as date of birth serve when we organise age-related activities, and telephone numbers allow us to ask you or give you information about an order placed in our online shop.

The data remains exclusively FXB’s possession. External service providers – for example, printers for our donation appeals – are subject to the Data Protection Act and are not permitted, under our agreements, to use it for other purposes or to pass it on.

For each of our publications, it is possible to unsubscribe by e-mail (info@fxb.org) or by telephone (tel. 022 741 00 30) or to customise the mailings’ frequency.

Mailings and Telephone calls

Anyone who provides us with their postal address may be regularly informed of our themes by post unless they expressly object. Telephone data help us if additional information is required and or during telephone campaigns.

Age-related data may serve for some offers specifically aimed at people in a specific age group.

Electronic mailings: E-mails and Newsletter

Anyone who provides us with their e-mail address can receive information (e.g. payment receipts or information on events) by e-mail. Regular transmission, in particular the newsletter, will only be sent with the specific consent of the person concerned (opt-in). Anyone who no longer wishes to receive our newsletter can easily and quickly unsubscribe by following the corresponding link in each newsletter.

Online Donations

FXB treats all payment data with the utmost confidentiality. FXB is a non-profit organisation recognised by Zewo. The Zewo label guarantees that donations are used following FXB’s goals efficiently and cost-effectively. It also ensures transparent internal and external communication regarding the association’s activities and financial management.

FXB also has a regulation on donations. FXB refrains from funding that could compromise its goals or funds subject to conditions that could question its integrity. It refuses funds derived from child labour, drugs, the arms trade or funds derived from criminal and illegal activities.

When you donate on our site, you are transmitting your data and possibly your credit card information to FXB in an encrypted manner. FXB uses Donorbox, a US-based tool, to process donations securely and professionally: https://donorbox.org/fr/privacy

Online Shopping (FXBSHOP.ORG)

FXB uses the software of the Canadian company Shopify whose server infrastructure is in the United States. During the checkout process, data is necessarily transmitted to the US. Customers who wish to avoid this can place their orders by phone at 022 741 00 30 or by email at fxbshop@fxb.org.

We use “Google Analytics” advertising analysis for the anonymous evaluation of impersonal usage data (connection data), which makes it possible to identify trends and improve our online offer. This data is not only processed by Pro Infirmis but also by Google acting on its behalf. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and the internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Cookies

This website also uses cookies to track usage. Cookies are small text files that a web portal stores on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit it. In this way, the site can ‘remember’ some entries and settings (e.g. login, language, font size and other display preferences) for a certain period, and you do not need to enter them on each subsequent visit, nor when you browse the portal. On our site, we use cookies to analyse usage, in particular, to record your participation in a survey, the usefulness of content (to prevent a pop-up window from prompting you again) or your decision to use (or not to use) cookies on this portal. Similarly, some of the videos embedded on our pages use cookies to compile anonymous statistics about previously visited pages and selected videos.

The information collected with the help of cookies is not used to identify you or for any other purpose than those mentioned here. Accepting cookies is not essential for using the site, but it does make browsing more user-friendly. You can block or delete cookies in your web browser. To find out how you may click here: www.aboutcookies.org. You can delete all the cookies on your computer and configure most browsers to prevent them from being deposited. However, you may have to adjust some settings manually each time you visit a page and have to put up with the degradation of some functions.

Social Network Plugins

This website contains social plugins like the Facebook “Like” button. When you visit the website, these trigger a transfer of your data (IP address, date and time of visit, etc.) to the relevant provider automatically, regardless of whether you click on the button or not and disregarding of whether you are a member of these social networks or not.

To deactivate this function, you must log out of the social networks before visiting our site.
