Who can apply?
- Civil society organizations (CSOs)/Social enterprises duly registered in Burundi:- Non-governmental organizations (NPOs)- Academic institutions- Private social initiative groups
- The project will take place in Burunga province, and more specifically in the rural communes of Buriri, Matana and Rumonge.
Which areas are concerned?
- Empowering and strengthening girls/women ;
- Local agriculture, livestock ;
- Education and vocational training ;
- Entrepreneurship and employability ;
- Inclusion of vulnerable and/or marginalized groups ;

What is the maximum subsidy amount?
- Maximum 10,000 euros per project
- Co-financing of at least 5% required (in-kind contribution possible)
What can the budget cover?
- Expenditure directly benefiting the project target (highly recommended)
- Expenses directly related to project activities (highly recommended)
- Salaries (in part)
- Mobility expenses (in part)
- Purchase of equipment

How long will the project last?
Maximum 12 months and minimum 6 months
Can I apply for a project that has already started?
Yes, but no retroactive funding for expenses incurred prior to the signing of the agreement with FXB
How does the selection process work?
Projects are selected by a jury made up of members of FXB - head office and office in Burundi - and representatives of the Monegasque Cooperation. The final selection is made on the basis of a short list of eligible applications that meet the administrative requirements. Priority is then given by the jury to the most qualitative proposals according to the criteria pre-defined on page 4 of the rules.
The final selection will be announced no later than September 26, 2025.
Are religious organizations eligible?
No, religious or political organizations are not eligible.
