A charity FXB auction to support homeless mothers in the Paris suburbs

Posted on 30 June 2020

FXB is organizing, from June 29 to July 9, an online auction to raise funds in order to help destitute homeless women and their children in the wider Paris area.

Founded in 1989 by Albina du Boisrouvray, the mission of the François-Xavier Bagnoud Association (FXB) is to provide people living in extreme poverty with the tools and support they need to regain their lost dignity.

In France, almost 15 weeks after the start of the lockdown, the situation of homeless women and their babies is alarming: the lack of hygiene and nutritional difficulties are rapidly taking their toll on their health, both physically and psychologically.

In order to meet the growing needs of these women and as a health and safety measure, FXB, supported by its ambassador Sophia Aram, has decided to intensify the distribution of maternal and hygiene kits in social hotels located on the outskirts of Paris.

Thanks to this online auction, FXB will be able to offer hygiene kits to thousands of additional women throughout the summer.
