Why become an FXB Global Partner?
You can sponsor a Village and bring lasting results to hundreds of children, while rewarding your own corporate community, as well as increasing your brand awareness. Current and previous Global Partners have credited the partnership with uniting their employees and elevating corporate profiles among clients and peers.
Once the Village program starts, you’ll receive regular updates from the families you’re supporting – including progress reports, stories and photos of children, and videos – to circulate within your community.[Return to FAQs]
What makes the FXB-Village program such a great investment?
The FXB-Village model provides a unique spin on the ‘adopt-a-child’ program: instead of sponsoring a single child and making charitable gifts indefinitely, you can invest in an entire community – possibly in a country where your company, employees, or customers have ties – to bridge your community with theirs and help people to help themselves. Here’s what makes the FXB-Villages unique:
- Low cost. With a total investment of just $225,000, FXB provides a comprehensive package of services to 80-100 families for three years.
- Community-based. All FXB initiatives are adapted to the specific needs of the communities they serve and are managed by local staff.
- Sustainable. FXB does not provide charity. Instead, by helping families over three years to learn skills, earn income, and invest in their children’s future, FXB-Villages create stable and healthy homes.
- Successful. The FXB-Villages have an extraordinary success rate. Eighty-six percent of FXB’s beneficiary families are self-sufficient and able to meet the needs of the children in their care by the program’s end and for years afterward. FXB does not provide charity. Instead, by helping families over three years to learn skills, earn income, and invest in their children’s future, FXB-Villages create stable and healthy homes. Can I visit the Village?
Yes. You will also have opportunities to visit your Village and personally meet FXB’s local staff and the families your donations have helped support. Past Global Partners have found this experience very valuable and inspiring, as it allows you to see firsthand the progress being made. [Return to FAQs]
How will FXB support a new Global Partner?
You or your company will sign a partnership agreement with FXB that outlines the country location you have selected, the fundraising commitment, and program details, such as branding, use of logo, and FXB’s role in supporting the fundraising activities. [Return to FAQs]
FXB will provide you with a Global Partners Toolkit complete with sample presentations, talking points, fundraising and event ideas, and other materials. We will then work with you to educate your team about the Village program model and provide your company with background information on your chosen country and the specific needs of the children in that area. After your fundraising campaign kicks off, FXB staff will continue to be available to assist you throughout the partnership. [Return to FAQs]
How long does the partnership last?
The FXB-Village program supports families and children for three years. For these three years, you will be connected with the community you are supporting, through reports, stories and photos, videos, and letters. After the program’s conclusion, you may continue to play a role in the community and at FXB. [Return to FAQs]
How will FXB Global Partners be recognized?
Each Global Partner receives a personal page on the FXB website and is featured in our Annual Report, newsletters, website, and press releases and promotional materials related to the sponsored Village. As a Global Partner, you will be honored with a plaque installed in the Village you are sponsoring and will be welcome to visit the Village. How much funding does an FXB Global Partner pledge to raise?
Each FXB-Village provides comprehensive support to 80 to 100 families over three years and costs approximately $225,000, determined by the country location. These funds are used to provide a host of services including food and education, small business grants, salaries for locally-recruited staff, and other related expenses. [Return to FAQs]
Are donations tax deductible?
